My favorite movie is Finding Dory

Personally, my favorite movie is Finding Dory. This movie ties in with the 2003 movie, Finding Nemo. The directors of this movie are Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane; the main cast is Ellen DeGeneres (Dory), Ed ONeil (Hank), Ty Burrell (Bailey), Albert Brooks (Marlin), Kaitlin Olson (Destiny), and Hayden Rolence (Nemo), Diane Keaton (Jenny), Idris Elba (Fluke), Dominic West (Rudder), and Bob Peterson (Mr. Ray). Finding Dory was released in 2016, and the budget of the movie was $200 million.

In Finding Dory, Dory is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who is a victim of memory loss. She loses her memory quickly, and this leads to her having difficulty finding her way home. As a child, she was separated from her parents, but she cannot remember why she got separated from them. She eventually finds her way home, with the help of Marlin and Nemo. Along the way, she runs into some obstacles that she has to overcome. First, she is captured and taken to the Marine Life Institute. She is then tagged and sent to Quarantine where she meets a grouchy seven-legged octopus, Hank. Because Hank has had some traumatic experiences in the ocean, he wants to stay in the aquarium. Seeing that Dory has a tag, Hank agrees to help her in any way possible in exchange for her tag. When making her way around the exhibit to escape, Dory runs into her childhood best friend, Destiny, and a Beluga whale, Bailey. Dory soon learns that her regal blue tang species are being moved to Cleveland, causing her to have flashbacks of life with her parents.

While Dory is captured, Marlin and Nemo try to help save her with a little help from two sea lions, Fluke and Rudder, and a common loon, Becky. When the two finally get in the Institute, Dory starts to remember how she got separated from her parents. One day, Dory heard her mother crying and left home in hopes to find a shell to cheer her up, when she was all of a sudden pulled away by an undertow current.

When Dory reunites with Marlin and Nemo, they locate the tank of blue tangs and get information about Dorys parents. Dory learns that her parents escaped the Institute in hopes of finding Dory, but she never returned home. Because they are nowhere to be found, Dory starts to believe that her parents are no longer alive.

When the tank begins to move, Hank retrieves Dory leaving Marlin and Nemo behind. Without seeing the employee, Hank is then grabbed, forcing him to drop Dory into a drain leading back to the ocean. Dory is now lost wandering around when she notices something familiar. She sees a trail of seashells, like the one her parents put down when she was younger, that leads her back home. She follows the trail, and at the end she finds an empty home with many trails leading to it. Dory is discouraged and starts to head back, when noticing two blue tang fishes. Surprisingly, its her parents, Jenny and Charlie. They reunite, and she learns that they never gave up on her. They spent years forming trails in hopes of helping Dory finding her way back home.

Even though Dory found her parents, Marlin and Nemo are still captured in the tank. Dory heads back to the aquarium to help rescue them. Destiny and Bailey escape their exhibit to help Dory. While they are aboard the truck, Dory tries to persuade Hank to come back to the ocean with them. Together, the two hijack the truck and drive it down one of the busiest roads, crashing into the water. Not only do they free Marlin and Nemo, but all the fish. In the end, Dory returns to life at the reef with her parents and new friends.

The overall ratings of the film by Rotten Tomatoes was a 94% based on 247 reviews and an average rating of 7.7/10. It was also given an A on an A+ to F scale by CInemaScore. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone gave Finding Dory three-and-a-half stars out of four. Whenever I went to watch it in theatres, the audience gave the film a standing ovation when it was over. The vision of the Directors was to reacquaint the audience with a lovable character and to bring back the feeling everybody got when they first met Dory in Finding Nemo.

The voiceovers were by far perfect, making it a fun movie to watch. They made it feel so real, and it brought so much attention to how important family really is and to never give up on something because it will eventually work out. The actors portraying all of the characters had a great performance when it came to showing emotions. Watching the movie, you cannot help but to feel sad for the fish when they are hurting, and joyful when they are happy.
