Even though the star of movie was meet with angry book readers declaring she was too old for the role, she amazed in every scene. Her performance of the haughty teenager was above anything anyone has ever seen from her even better and stronger than her breakout performance in Winter's Bone (2010) as she captured Katniss Everdeen's personality in every second of the movie. She wasn't the only one with a stellar performance. Many fans and casts alike agree that Liam Hemsworth's portrayal of the grumpy, arrogant, and extremely protective Gale Hawthorne was spot on. Also, Elizabeth Banks' phenomenal recreation of the Capitol's accent blew movie goers minds. There were few mistakes or off characterizations throughout the whole film which excited the avid readers of the trilogy. With this, Gary Ross' vision for the film matched almost perfectly without those who read the books, creating a undeniable fandom for the following 3 movies. Ross managed to make a hugely popular trilogy into one of the biggest franchises Hollywood has ever seen on that large of a scale since Stephanie Meyers' Twilight series.
